Delfino
on-set at Activision with actor, comedian Jamie Kennedy and
pro-skateboarder, Tony Hawk (above). Providing "intense"
direction to Slash (below).
Writer/Producer/Director
Bear-Buca Entertainment (BBE)
Los Angeles, CA
In
July of 2007, Delfino helmed the director’s chair for
the video gaming giant Activision. The HD project, a comedic
narrative, was filmed at the companies corporate offices in
Santa Monica, CA. The video was produced for a fall trade show
in Las Vegas but has met with such positive feedback, it is
being utilized as a multi-purposed marketing tool for Activision.
"Who
says corporate video has to be boring? I've been merging entertainment
value and storytelling into corporate projects for years dating
back to my company in Youngstown, Ohio. My entertainment background,
as well as experience writing, producing and directing corporate
videos helped create Activision's vision for the project.
Activision fully understands the value of using naritive as
a vehicle to deliver a marketing message."

The project
features comedian/actor Jamie Kennedy with appearances by Tony
Hawk, Slash (Guns-n-Roses), Stan Lee (Godfather of Marvel Comics)
and Activision CEO, Bobby Kotick. Jamie Kennedy plays himself,
in the role of a disenchanted Hollywood actor looking for work.
A beleaguered human resource manager reluctantly agrees to provide
the Hollywood celebrity with an opportunity to try out a few
positions. Kennedy’s comedic interactions with Activision
employees and VIP guests creates a humorous day for all to watch.
Kennedy final ends up as a lowly executive washroom valet where
he meets Activision CEO, Bobby Kotick. He takes the opportunity
to pitch Kotick really bad video game ideas highlighted by his
own spin on the popular game title “Nintendogs”
with “Michael Vick’s Ultimate Dogfighter.”
In the end it is Jamie who gets pitched, out the front door
of Activision.
The project has several laugh out loud moments and solid production
value. The video was Executive Produced by M-Cre8ive and produced
by Marty Svoboda and Deborah Raguse, Delfino’s business
partner at BBE.
